Technical Integration Documentation

Transport Layers

This document specifies the transport layers that are currently supported by our platforms. We support eb-XML since 2002, Web Services since 2004 and now HTTP for simplicity. We suggest to use Web Services (SOAP recommended by OTA) because eb-XML is very complex (but strong on recovery) and HTTP is not enough to insure security on transactions.

LinkIT CRS

This document contains the description of the XML messages to be supported by a CRS interfaced with the Voilà system. LinkIT-CRS allows the CRS to work with the Voilà system by either a seamless mode or an allotment mode. Both modes and corresponding messages are described in the documentation.

The following messages need to be implemented to support the seamless mode:

  • Messages to send to VOILÀ

    • OTA_HotelDescriptive
    • ContentNotif (Detailed Hotel description
    • OTA_HotelResNotif (booking notification)
  • Messages sent by VOILÀ

    • OTA_HotelSearch (to get a list of available hotels searching by criteria as occupancy and period)
    • OTA_HotelAvail (detailed availability)
    • OTA_HotelRes (booking creation or modification)
    • OTA_HotelResNotif (booking cancellation)

Blackout dates

The message described in this document concerns the Redemption Black-Out Dates. A CRS can set dates where hotel room redemptions are not authorized. Black-Out Dates may also be managed via the CRM website interface, so this message is not required.

LinkIT PMS

This document contains the description of the XML messages to be supported by a PMS interface to the Voila system. Most of the LinkIT-PMS messages are about inventory and stock definitions. For example, the main difference between LinkIT-CRS and LinkIT-PMS is that we do not allow a seamless interface with a PMS. The PMS must give allotments.
