Most large hotel programs also tend to lose in value rather than the opposite. Although free wifi for program members is celebrated as big achievement, this is in reality nothing else than gimmicks. But outside of the mainstream, there are certainly programs in the hotel sector worth having a second look at. For instance VOILÀ Hotel Rewards, a customer loyalty program for independent hotels, which is represented in a bit more than a dozen of countries.
Next to a solid base offer of the program, it convinces in particular by regular promotions. As such, one can currently collect triple award points and double elite points at hotel brands other the one the member has originally enrolled with (until December 31), a 50% bonus for online bookings (October 31) or a discount on award prices of 20% (September 30). Moreover, there is a competition on Facebook until the end of August, where the best ideas for program enhancements are rewarded – including with a lifetime elite status. It should be noted that preliminary registration for most promotions is usually required with VOILÀ.
